California Association of Realtors Launches FortressFire’s Wildfire Disclosure Report for California Residential Real Estate Transactions
The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) has partnered with FortressFire® to provide Wildfire Disclosure Reports (WFDRs) in California that document the specific vulnerabilities of a home and provide a roadmap for how to protect and insure it, for the safety and security of homeowners’ investments. These innovative WFDRs provide actionable insights and roadmaps to mitigate property-specific wildfire vulnerabilities and will become an integral part of the standard California Residential Purchase Agreement.

The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) has partnered with FortressFire® to provide Wildfire Disclosure Reports (WFDRs) in California that document the specific vulnerabilities of a home and provide a roadmap for how to protect and insure it, for the safety and security of homeowners’ investments.
Leveraging satellite imagery, machine learning, and advanced physics models, these reports provide essential insights into wildfire vulnerability, insurability challenges, and property compliance complexities, particularly in wildfire hazard zones rated “moderate” through “extreme risk.”
As the threat of wildfires continues to impact communities across California, C.A.R. recognizes the invaluable role FortressFire's Wildfire Disclosure Reports plays in shaping the future of residential real estate transactions. These innovative reports offer more than just data; they provide actionable insights and roadmaps to mitigate property-specific wildfire vulnerabilities.
